The only browser with vertical reading mode

A function that will be used mainly by users who read in Asian languages such as simplified and traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean, and that in these languages is the common way in which the text is displayed.

It must be activated in the browser settings to switch between horizontal or vertical reading mode.

Markdown support in the notes

This markup language is ideal for writing on the web , documenting code, and then, taking notes. With Vivaldi 1.14 the browser that keeps thinking about power users offers support for Markdown within its panel of notes, something quite unique that they already offered.

No need to install extensions , Vivaldi lets you take notes from the sidebar of the browser, even with the ability to add screenshots. Now you can also format the notes with MD.

You can add bold, italic, headings and subheadings, bullets, etc . And you can also use the option to preview simple HTML.

Web panels and search engines

One of the distinctive features of Vivaldi is its web panels, these allow you to add individual websites to the side panel to navigate between them without having to use tabs .

Now you can also rearrange and customize the position of the web panels in the sidebar to give priority to the sites you visit the most.

Other elements that you can reorder also now are the search engines. It has always been possible to change the default engine for multiple options, be they the almighty Google, or private alternatives like DuckDuckGo.

You can add as many as you want, and now you can also rearrange all you add in the order you prefer by simply dragging with the mouse or using the keyboard.

If you already use Vivaldi you can update the browser when you start it for the first time during the day, or you can download the latest version from the official website.
